City and Guilds 2357-309
The C&G2357-305 forms part of the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnology. It is the final multiple choice exam encountered on the electricians qualification. It combines all of the science and principles behind electrical design and installation and will certainly prove to be the hardest exam of the whole qualification. About the C&G2357-309 unit
The final exam for the City and Guilds 2357 focuses on science and principles. There are some significant additions to the previous 2330 syllabus that originally spread the science part of the qualification over three different exams. The unit starts off with a focus on pure mathematics, in fact, an entire outcome is now devoted to Maths. The maths questions in the exam look like they will be at least electrically related covering items such as fractions and trigonetry whilst the remaining units cover aspects taken from the previous three qualifications with the introduction of a new outcome based on electrical heating systems. Expect to find electromagnetism, ac and dc motors, induction, transformers, lighting construction and calculations, generation, power factor correction and much more. The unit concludes with everyone's favourite, electronics, where the syllabus now gives more indication of what should be expected when teaching this unit and what the learner should be focusing on. This is a potentially huge exam covering an enormous variety of topics and will certainly require preparation and practise if you wish to pass it.
